Bauchi Versity Student kidnapped, abductors demands her virginity only

Patience Kushi, a 100 level undergraduate student of Bauchi State University, Gadau has been abducted by suspected ritualists, a family source said.

Parents of the kidnapped student who expressed anguish over the abduction of their daughter last Wednesday, told journalists about the sad incident after reporting the matter to the police.

The 100 level pharmacology student was said to have left her uncle’s home last Wednesday, and has neither been seen nor heard ever since.

Patience was said to have left her uncle’s home for her father’s house at Kafin Tafawa in Yelwa suburb of Bauchi metropolis before the sudden disappearance.

Her father told journalists in Bauchi at the weekend, “On Wednesday, 24th June at about 2:00pm, patience left my younger brother’s home at Rafin Zurfi and told him that she was coming to my house at Kafin Tafawa (a distance of about 4 kilometers) to pick something and he gave her the permission to come”.

Patience’s father narrated the sad incident, “By evening of that fateful day, my younger brother’s wife kept calling her line to know if she had arrived, but there was no response. They thought she was working at my house”.

“They later on tried again but the number was switched off. Then the next day (Thursday) at about 1:00am, her aunt, my younger brother’s wife called me and asked why I retained Patience and didn’t let her go back, and she also asked if there was any problem”.

Kushi responded, “I told her that I did not see Patience because she had not come to my house. She expressed shock about what I told her, and she then said, she will call her friend to confirm”.

He further said that Patience’s friend also tried calling her phone that same Wednesday and it rang out. He a


dded that Patience’s friend, thereafter sent a message to her phone but was surprised when “Do you think you will ever see her again? Fool”, was sent as a reply by the cultists believed to be holding her captive.

Her father, Emmanuel said, “In the message, they said that ‘father, your daughter is with us (Black Axe Confraternity), we don’t need your money, what we need is her virginity. Don’t bother looking for her”.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer with the Bauchi State Police Command, DSP Ahmed Wakil confirmed the incident, saying that the police is intensifying investigations into the matter with the aim of apprehending the suspects and rescuing Patience alive.

DSP Wakil therefore, urged members of the public with useful information about the abducted student to quickly volunteer such to assist the police.
