Bauchi youth group to begin recall process of Lawal Gumau
A Bauchi based youth group, Bauchi Youth Advocate for Good Governance is to commence on the 22nd of this month, the recall process of the Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Senator Lawal Yahaya Gumau.
Addressing journalists in Bauchi, the Zonal Vice Chairman Bauchi South of the group, Abdullahi Ibrahim said the forum deemed it necessary to recall the senator due to his poor representation, insensitivity and plunder in the red chamber.
Abdullahi Ibrahim who expressed dissatisfaction with the level of performance of the senator, recalled that the group has been following his activities and done nothing to show the lights of the day.
According to him, is found to have never for once made a contribution to the national debate, a debate that has direct bearing either negative or positive on the people of his constituency.
He said as voters trusted Senator Lawan Gumau to lead them through and out of its limitations to enjoy the dividends of democracy, but regretted that none of the constituency projects were made in any of the local government or their wards, upon the Zonal Intervention Fund nominated to cater for constituency projects 2018/2019/2020.
Comrade Abdullahi who passed vote of no- confidence on the senator, blasted him for abandoning projects in Dass, Tafawa-Balewa and Bogoro initiated by his predisuccessor Late Malam Ali Wakili.
The group official noted that, to further prove the unfortunate affairs of the Senator, the forum was seriously disturbed after taken a tour of inspections on the nominated projects, sadly to give an account of their positions under watch of the current senator who inherited assets and liabilities in the case of the constituency.
The Vice Chairman said the advocates will welcome valuable insights that will contribute to improving the rational claims, so as to achieve on the concerted maverick move of recall.
