COVID-19: BASEPA inspects Schools in Bauchi Metropolis

As schools resumes full ivities in Bauchi last monday to re total compliance to Covid19 protocols,the Director General Supervised Schools within the sSchooltate capital Metropolis.Earlier this morning,the Director General of the Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency (BASEPA) Dr Ibrahim Kabir MNES and his team went round some schools here in the Metropolis to supervised the level of compliance with the #Covid19 protocols for schools reopening in the state.The team were at the Sa’adu Zungur Model School and Sky Crest School here in the Metropolis.The Director General and his team appreciates the level of compliance in the schools, especially at the Sa’adu Zungur Model School where all the necessary guidelines of the presidential taskforce of containing the novel disease were fully observed.Decontamination exercise was carried out in the school, provision of hand washing buckets at the school’s entrance, the thermometer for measuring body temperature, observing social distancing and the use of facemask by both the staff and the students. Incase of emergency, the school also provide an isolation center within the school’s sick Bay with two registered nurses on standby.The Director General while going round the classes, encourage the schools managements to ensure that they maintained the observance of all the protocols which include the use of facemask, regular washing of hands, hand sanitizer and social distancing to prevent shutting down the schools by Agency and the other relevant organizations such as NCDC, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health respectively.In their separate remarks,the schools Administrators expressed satisfaction with the visit and assured the Director General and his team that all the directives must be observed to ensure the health and safety of their pupils and students.
