How Most Nigerian Religious Leaders viewed Coronavirus!

Coronavirus is a virus that came into existence around November 2019 in China.
Coronavirus is also known as covid19 is a strong pandemic in the world, this virus has killed thousands of people and it still killing
Covid19 has affected the world economy, businesses, careers, academics,even religion is not spared.
A lot of people says a lot about covid19 existence, but some religious leader both in Christianity and Islam view it that covid19 is not just an ordinary virus but sent from God to deal with the world because of our sins. some pastor even said covid19 is not a physical battle but spiritual battle from God to consume the world rather than a flood. Some imams and pastors said having our churches and mosques closed down is not ordinary because such has never happened before.

Some reason given by some of this religious leaders is that the end time is near that we should repent from our sinful ways some pastors said that it’s written in the bible that in the end time “there shall be famines and troubles” another chapter in the Bible says that “there shall be great tribulation, such as was not at the beginning of the world to this time no, nor ever shall be. So covid19 is part of the tribulations battling with the world.

For this reason, the religious leader said that the only way is for us to pray for forgiveness of sin so that God can show us mercy.

So some pastors in Nigeria and the imams begged the Nigerian government to reopen back churches and mosques so we could pray.

Can this solve the covid19 pandemic?
