Lukaku Eager To Join Antonio Conte In Inter Milan

Romelu Lukaku is reportedly eager to dump Manchester United to seek a move to Inter Milan and play for Antonio Conte.

Meanwhile, it is believed that United will only let the Belgian leave for an overall £75million package.

Lukaku is eager to join Inter and link up with Inter’s new coach, Conte who wanted the striker when he was manager of Juventus and then Chelsea.

United are prepared to let Lukaku leave but could negotiate an initial fee lower than the £75m they paid Everton for the Belgium striker two years ago.

United committed up to £90m to sign Lukaku in 2017 but it is understood they could agree to a cash deal with Inter, including achievable bonuses that rise to £75m.

Inter chief executive Beppe Marotta said ‘it’s early’ when asked about a possible deal for Lukaku, whose agent Federico Pastorello met with Inter on Tuesday to discuss the future of his client Edoardo Vergani.

Pastorello told reporters: “Lukaku is a dream [for Inter] and it is not an easy deal to realise. For me, nothing is impossible. Romelu has expressed his plans and wishes. Let’s see.” Lukaku is currently on holiday in Los Angeles.

Lukaku, 26, would prefer to have his future resolved before the United squad flies to Perth for their pre-season tour of Australasia on July 7.

Previous had claimed Lukaku does not feel ‘important’ under United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, having started only 15 of his 29 matches in charge.
