It was gathered that Makinde angrily left the WhatsApp platform after he confronted PDP State Publicity Secretary, Akeem Olatunji, for posting a video on Fulani herdsmen attack the people of Ayete, headquarters of Ibarapa North Local Government, which has other towns like Igangan.
But his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, yesterday, said that his boss had the right to join or exit any social media platform at any time as his schedule dictates.
Adisa made the comment in his counter-reaction to reactions that have trailed the governor’s Saturday evening sudden exit from the Whatsapp group were senior officials of government and Oyo State PDP deliberate on cogent issues bordering on governance and politics.
