NEMA Officials Pay Courtesy Visit to Bauchi State Governor Sen. Bala A Muhammad.

According to NEMA, the team was in Bauchi to brief Governor Bala A Muhammad on their current state of activities and also show solidarity in his Administration.

Bashir Idris Garga Director Liason Services (NEMA) who represented the DG NEMA AVM M. A Mohammad rtd noted that there was the need for all the agencies to work closely in the area of capacity building, training, and re-training of staff as well as constant sensitization of the grassroots to be proactive when it comes to disaster issues.

Executive Governor Bauchi State Sen.Bala Muhammad (Kauran Bauchi) who was represented by his Deputy Sen. Baba Tela thanked the Federal Government for always coming to the rescue of flood and other emergency victims in the state through NEMA.

The Deputy Governor Sen.Baba Tela expressed their resolve to collaborate with NEMA in tackling emergency situations whenever it occurred in the State areas as he told the team that Bauchi state has so far lost twenty-five lives with properties worth millions of Naira to flood this year alone.
