BAYELSA GOVERNOR COMMISSIONS MULTI-BILLION NAIRA PROJECTS IN BAUCHI GOVERNOR AS A HARDWORKING GOVERNOR
Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa state on Thursday evening commissioned the commencement of projects in Bauchi worth 4.5billion naira initiated by Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of the state.
The projects flagged off which is for the Development of Bauchi Old Airport Housing Estate and Infrastructure including the construction of 2.8 kilometer dual carriageway, section of the Southern Bye pass AYM Shafa Filling station round about along Dass Road to Murtala Mohammed Way Bauchi would be executed through Public Private Partnership Project.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Governor Douye Diri applauded Governor Bala Mohammed for partnering with the private sector to come up with the initiative and saying that, when completed, it will improve the living conditions of the beneficiaries.
“The Governor of Bauchi State is a man who is bringing his experience to bear, bringing his intelligence to bear and bringing his knowledge to bear in governance, at a time when there was no resources and the global economy is down, but he decided to be proactive. Your Excellency, your performance is excellent.”
The Bayelsa Governor who described his counterpart of Bauchi as a hardworking Governor, pleaded with the entire people of Bauchi state to renew their support to their Governor to enable him succeed in the delivery of dividends of democracy.
On his part, Governor Bala Mohammed said four point five billion naira has been earmarked for the project and it covered construction of a four arm zone for State house of assembly members, judicial officers, commissioners and advisers.
“Your Excellency, my brother, the Governor of Bayelsa state , we invited you to commission the commencement of this knowledge based projects procured on PPP basis.”
